Personality Profile

Realizing that I overlooked Knuckles before, I've added him to my list. I was actually quite obsessed with Knuckles back when Sonic 3 came out. I remember drawing various renditions of him, but without a decent picture to go on, I tried 4 variations before I finally found out what he really looked like. I didn't even know his personality back then. Sonic 3 didn't really give me a full grasp on what he was all about. Yeah, he's definitely my kind of character.

Knuckles is a loner, sort of by choice, but also out of obligation. His duty is to protect the Master Emerald at all costs. Something is always happening to it, which makes me believe that he doesn't do the best work. Still, he sits on Angel Island day in and day out, guarding that emerald. He wishes he could be free, which is why he's always a little angry at Sonic. Knuckles is jealous of Sonic's carefree lifestyle. He's also quite gullible and is often tricked, by Eggman, into believing that Sonic is up to no good. Lately, though, it seems that they've put aside their differences and become friends. Perhaps Knuckles chooses to remain a loner, even when on a mission, because he knows that if he becomes close to others, it will make it all the harder when it's over and he must return to his solitary existance.
